Run Gatwick Virtual 2020
Grounded But Still Running!

Run Gatwick virtually
14th October - 2nd December

Although Run Gatwick 2020 has been postponed to 2021, we still wanted to mark this year with a different kind of run.  A 2020 kind of run. We can’t put 5,000 runners on a start line this year but we need your support to still mark and celebrate Run Gatwick by running your distance virtually from 14th October – 2nd December.

This does not replace the 2020 event and if you registered with us for 2020, your place is safe for next year.  This is just an extra opportunity to run with us virtually and bag a great medal and optional awesome training t-shirt.

Just for fun we’ve decided to add a friendly competitive element to our virtual race!  You can choose to join the Red or Blue team on registration and let’s see who can Run Gatwick the fastest – the leaderboard will take the average time from both teams tracking results as they are submitted.

Although we won’t be able to  see you on the day we’d still love to see photos of you out running, maybe even parts of our much loved route around Crawley and the airport perimeter.

You can still collect an awesome Run Gatwick medal and optional t-shirt and support our local businesses by using your medal to unlock some fantastic local offers.

Add To Your Medal Collection

We know you all love your bling and won’t want to miss out on adding to your Run Gatwick medal collection.

Sign up now and receive this fantastic medal marking a different kind of run for 2020!

Run Gatwick Technical Training T-Shirt

We love seeing you out training in your Run Gatwick finishers T-shirts and this one off special edition Team Red or Team Blue t-shirt will have you counting down to our 2021 event.

Treat yourself for just £10 and Run Strong into 2021!

How It Works

*Medals and t shirts will be available to collect from Nuffield Health, Crawley Leisure Park after the virtual run has closed, unless you selected postage as an option when registering. Dates and times for collection will be communicated when the run closes.

Supporting St Catherine's Hospice

We’re so happy to be supporting St Catherine’s Hospice as our virtual Official Charity Partner. £1 of every family race entry will automatically go to the charity and you can also choose to make an additional donation to St Catherines when registering your place.

St Catherine’s Hospice needs your support now more than ever so that no one has to face death and loss alone. COVID-19 has meant that their ambition to help even more people affected by death and dying has been severely impacted, so please show your support and donate whatever you can afford on registration. Coronavirus Update

We are sure you are all wondering if British Airways Run Gatwick scheduled to take place in just 8 weeks time is still going ahead. In light of the fast moving developments around COVID-19, regretfully we have taken the decision this weekend to postpone the event. Whilst we are extremely disappointed for us and all of you who have been training, our first priority is always to protect the health and well-being of our runners, volunteers, partners and the wider community and this is coupled with the need to not put additional pressure on our local and emergency services.

Our new date for the event will be Sunday 18th October and we absolutely intend to deliver the full British Airways Run Gatwick experience for everyone but as you can appreciate, the next few months are uncertain and therefore we will keep you updated regularly.

We are also aware that many other running events are also postponing to the Autumn period and British Airways Run Gatwick may clash with them and we know that many of you will have to choose between us and other great events. There’s nothing we can say other than we really hope you will still join us. Your entry will automatically be carried over to the new date so there is no action for you to take.

We know you may have some questions particularly around deferrals and transfers, so please bear with us over the coming days as we want to ensure a streamlined and consistent response to you all. Updates will be emailed directly and posted on the Run Gatwick website and our social media channels. Please could we ask you to wait for those updates rather than emailing or asking for updates via social media, this will really help our small team in these difficult circumstances.

Our running and local community are incredibly supportive and we’d like to thank you in advance for your patience, understanding and continued support whilst we work on new plans to deliver a fantastic event experience for everyone in October.
