Not able to run but still keen to be part of the Run Gatwick? Why not join our happy crew….
Behind the scenes we’re busy putting together a huge 300+ Racemaker team to look after our runners and spectators in Southgate Park and along our exciting and scenic routes. Volunteering is an extremely rewarding experience and we’d love you to get involved.
We need hundreds of volunteers to help make this event something really special and there are LOTS of opportunities from setting up the event village on Saturday to looking after runners in the park on race morning, at the bag drop, information point and finish line handing out medals, finisher t-shirts and water. Racemakers also play an integral role along both routes motivating runners, providing clear direction and safety messages, handing out water, smiling, cheering and plenty more!
If you haven’t done it before please think about volunteering. Not only will you get the feel-good factor from supporting local and national charities; volunteering is also a great opportunity to feel part of the event and meet like-minded people.
We need you to be available for around 6 hours from 7am onwards to enable us to manage the logistics of the day. As our way of saying thank you for helping us create such a great race experience, we’ll provide you with the following:
- Free breakfast
- A quality ‘Racemaker’ t-shirt
- A free race place for 2019
We would also love to hear from local sports clubs, community groups, Scouts, charities, schools and other organisations who can supply a team of Racemakers to help us. In return, we will help you promote your organisation to the runners and their supporters leading up to, on race day and afterwards. Please complete this contact form (must be 18 years and over) if you think you can help.
