Volunteer With Us
British Airways Run Gatwick
If you are not able to run but still keen to be part of British Airways Run Gatwick, why not join our happy volunteer RaceCrew? Our volunteers are proudly supported by Gatwick Airport.
Behind the scenes we’re busy putting together a huge 300+ RaceCrew team to look after our runners and spectators in Southgate Park and along our exciting and scenic routes. Volunteering is an extremely rewarding experience and we’d love you to get involved.
We need hundreds of volunteers to help make this event something really special and there are LOTS of opportunities from setting up the Event Village on Saturday to looking after runners in the park on race morning, at the bag drop, the information point and on the finish line handing out medals, finisher t-shirts and water.
Our Gatwick Airport RaceCrew also play an integral role along both routes motivating runners, providing clear direction and safety messages, handing out water, smiling, cheering and plenty more!
If you haven’t done it before please think about volunteering. Not only will you get the feel-good factor from supporting local and national charities; volunteering is also a great opportunity to feel part of the event and meet like-minded people.
To enable us to manage the logistics of the day we need you to be available for around 6 hours from 7am on event day.
We would also love to hear from local sports clubs, community groups, Scouts, charities, schools and other organisations who could supply a team of RaceCrew to help us. In return, we will help you promote your organisation to our runners and their supporters leading up to, on race day and afterwards.
We encourage families, friends, sports and community groups, musicians, bands and artists to line the route and to provide as much support as you can – the more noise the better! Please remember that although we’d love your help, you need to be at least 18 years old.
